• We leave for Texas in 2 days. I'm very proud of my husband for the way he's pitched in helping me clean house this weekend. He knew I was stressing out terribly over all I had to do and he's done a wonderful job. After work yesterday, I ran some stuff over to a friend's for her to decorate for her daughter's high school graduation party today, then I ran to Wal-Mart to pick up a new LitterMaid, cat food and litter so my in-laws will be fully stocked for caring for our two cats while we are away. When I got home from Wal-Mart, Hubby had the entire living room vacuumed and rearranged. It looked good, too. I'm so proud of him. He's vacuumed the whole house this weekend and really pitched in on decluttering, too. I told him if we worked together like this every week, the house would never get this bad.

  
  

  We are taking off work tomorrow afternoon to go pick up the rental car. Initially we were going to pick it up in the evening, but then we end up having to eat dinner in Des Moines because it's so late and it ends up being 9:30 or 10 p.m. when we get home and we stay up late packing. This way, we should be back from Des Moines by the time the store closes and be able to eat a normal dinner and have a (fairly) relaxing evening at home while I pack.

  
  

  We will also get to meet the son's girlfriend's parents while we are in Texas.
