The church voted tonight to ask pastor to stay on. They didn't want to accept his resignation. Someone called the pastor in (he lives near the church) and he came by and asked everyone where they wanted the church to go and said he wasn't convinced it wasn't just talk. (That was his way of saying he'd have to think about it and pray about it.) All I can say is the church has extended the hand. If he doesn't take it, well, I guess we did the Christian thing in admitting we knew we needed to change.
We interviewed someone today for the opening at our store and I have another interview in the morning. I'm praying we find someone who will work out as good as the one we currently have. I'd like to at least have time to train someone in a little before we head to Texas at the end of the month to watch our son graduate from high school. I look forward to seeing him and our one daughter and her husband. I wonder if we'll get to see our other daughter and son-in-law and the grandbaby. I don't know if they'll be able to afford to make a trip back to Texas, but it would be nice if they could.
On a different note, one of the girls in my cancer support group has a puppy in a photo contest. Please go http://pets-place.net/FreeDogContest.html and vote for Ezekiel the Saint Bernard. He's currently in 2nd place but is many, many votes behind first place. We need a boost. Don't be tempted by some of the other cuties up there, particularly the ones in costume. Vote for Zeke - LOL!!!

I will be praying about the church situation.
hope they do manage the trip, it would be a wonderful time for the family to be together.
I thought he was moving to Missouri? How can they not accept his resignation if he is moving?
Come visit Union Park Baptist Church on East 9th and Arthur. Lots of kids, wonderful youth group, lots of people and kids coming to Christ. It's very diverse, and really neat. I am a survivor, too. Just had my anniversary date. Take care.
