I left the porch light on when I left the house to help the Eagles Auxiliary make table decorations. John called me not 5 minutes after I left the house, "Do we have any candy at home?"
Oskaloosa did trick-or-treating last night, ON A SCHOOL NIGHT, when Halloween is on Saturday this year. I actually thought they were doing "beggars night" on Friday because it wasn't the night before church, but no, they were out on Thursday. HOW STUPID!!!
I didn't buy any candy this year because both of us will be gone Friday night to activities, and I'll be gone Saturday for a fundraiser. When I got home last night, not only had he turned off the porch light, he had ALL of the lights in the house off and was watching TV in the dark. He had locked the front door, which I had trouble finding the keyhole in the dark, because he "didn't want to take any chances" of getting more trick-or-treaters.
