We head south in the morning. We'll spend the weekend at my sister's house in Oklahoma. I will get to hear my brother-in-law preach on Sunday and I'm really looking forward to that. Then we'll head down to Texas to spend a week with the kids and grandchildren. D2 is there on vacation right now with her daugher, and D1 had her baby July 12. I haven't heard from The Boy for a couple of weeks, but we are hoping to spend some time with him and his new bride, too.
I guess D1's in-laws have a big BBQ pool party planned for the 4th of July and we'll be there for it. I'm hoping for a fun and relaxing vacation, playing with grandbabies, reading by the pool, and visiting with the children that we haven't seen for nearly a year (almost two years for D2).
Keep us in your prayers as we travel. I'm hoping the flooding has subsided by the time we reach Texas on Monday, but D1 says it is supposed to continue to rain there all weekend.
