Well, I didn't have to teach Sunday School today as the little girl who was supposed to come was ill and could not make it. I'm kind of glad, though, because the lesson today in the adult Sunday School class was awesome, about temptation and trusting God. It was something I really needed to hear.
I've been sick all afternoon myself. I did manage to get the laundry done in between napping and going to the bathroom a zillion times. We had homemade pizza for supper; an easy fix. I cheat and used the roll-out pizza dough that comes in a can (like Pilsbury, only I buy the store brand). A half a cup of spaghetti sauce, chop a few veggies, and toss on a little hamburger, Hormel bacon bits, rehydrated mushrooms, some pepperoni and Canadian bacon slices and we've got supper. The trick to my homemade pizza is that I bake the crust a little before putting the sauce and all the stuff on it, so the crust is nice and crisp instead of soggy.
This weekend I've been test marketing a couple of sugar-free drink mixes. I am supposed to use one brand for three days, then the other brand for three days, and answer some questions about the product. It's pretty cool, and I hope this is the first of many opportunities to do such a thing. This survey company sent me a box with two complete retail packages of drink mix in them, 5 containers in each, and I just have to answer a few questions. That rocks!!!
I got an e-mail from Travelocity Fair Finder last night. American has round-trip tickets from Des Moines to where the kids live in Texas on sale for $199. Unfortunately, the first flight must be by Feb. 15. I thought I was going to get lucky and get two round-trip tickets to go see the baby for $400. We are usually lucky to find one round-trip ticket for much less than that price. I'll keep my eye out on those flight sales though and hopefully nab a pair of tickets, God willing, at a cheap price like that with the right dates of travel on them.

I have a proposal for you. Why don't I save my Sunday School material at the end of the quarter and ship it to you to use? You can pick from it what you would want to teach. It is a blended class format for grades three thru six.
