Praise God that the elections in Iraq went off with so little violence. The last I watched, there was a bit of violence in Baghdad, but not nearly as much as they had anticipated.
Now, stolen from my sister's blog, who borrowed it from New_Day's blog.
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around and look for the "coolest" book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.
"Because God is love, the most important lesson he wants you to learn on earth is how to love." From The Purpose Driven Life: What On Earth Am I Here For?
I am off to make a batch of cornbread to go with the pinto beans and ham that have been in the crockpot all day long. Then I'm off to my book study.

The beans and cornbread was delicious. Almost as good as Mom makes.
I found this lovely poem on Wanda's Country Home. I thought it was awesome.
Cancer is so limited...
It cannot cripple Love.
It cannot shatter Hope.
It cannot corrode Faith
It cannot destroy Peace.
It cannot kill Friendship.
It cannot suppress Memories.
It cannot silence Courage.
It cannot invade the Soul.
It cannot steal Eternal Life.
It cannot conquer the Spirit.
